Please read all instructions before attempting to set up your mailbox.

Step 1: Dial 884-6500 to access the voice mail system.   You will hear the following recording, “Welcome to the message center.  Please enter a mail box number or wait.”

Step 2: Dial your Voice Mailbox (telephone) number followed by the asterisk (*) button.

Note:  If you wait too long before entering your mailbox number, you will hear a recording that says, “Try again later”.  If this happens, please hang up and start again.

Step 3: You will then hear a recording that asks you to, “Please enter your pass code”.  Your temporary pass code is: 1,2,3,4.  After entering your temporary pass code, you will hear “Welcome to your voice mail center”.

This recording will go on to tell you that you can set up a new pass code, record a greeting, and record your name.  After you set up your new pass code, greeting, and recorded your name, you will hear, “You have just set up your mail box”.

When you lift your telephone handset and hear a ‘stuttered or broken’ dial tone you will know that someone has left a message in your voice mailbox.  You can retrieve your messages from any touch tone phone.

To get your messages:  

Step 1:  Dial 884-6500 to access the voice mail system.  You will hear a recording that says, “Welcome to the message center.  Please enter a mail box number or wait.”

Step 2: Dial your voice mail (telephone) number.  You will hear the greeting that you recorded.  Before the end of this greeting, press the “*” button.  At this time you will hear your name as you recorded it in the set-up of your voice mail.

Step 3: You will hear a recording asking you to enter your pass code.  Enter your pass code.  You are now in your mail box and the system will instruct you how to play, give, keep or discard your messages.

 P = Play                               A = Answer message
 D = Discard your message    U = User options as follows:
 K = Keep                                      n = change name
 X = Exit                                         p = change pass code
 M = Make new message                t  = tutorial
 G = Give                                       g = change greeting
 O = Return to the attendant            x = exit

The number of rings before forwarding to voice mail is automatically set at two.  If you wish to change the number of rings, you must first deactivate the current settings.

To deactivate the current settings:

  • Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.

  • Dial * 93 (star, nine, three) and listen for the confirmation tone.

To set the number of rings:

  • Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.

  • Dial * 92 (star, nine, two), the number of rings you want and  then the number you want your calls forwarded to.
